Then get ready to join animal-loving second grader Stephanie and her family on their visit to the zoo! Stephanie is excited to learn about all the animals when she meets Dr. Eva, the head veterinarian at the zoo, who offers her a special tour and a day she won’t forget. Follow along with Stephanie and Dr. Eva to learn interesting animal facts, but also to understand the threats to endangered animals and the important role zoos play in species conservation.
Zoo Inspiration!
Animals and the zoo have always been special to my wife, Stephanie, and me. Stephanie's Big Zoo Adventure is inspired by the Henry Vilas Zoo in Madison, Wisconsin, as well as Stephanie's passion for wildlife biology and species conservation. A wildlife biologist and educator herself, Stephanie's love for all living things started at a young age with trips to the zoo and adventures in nature. These experiences helped shape who she is today, and I hope Stephanie's Big Zoo Adventure can help inspire the next generation of species conservation heroes!
